TPM 046 : Defining and Writing Your Story, with Kelly Thomas
A Powerful Mindset: A commitment to gratitude and to keeping an open mind
Welcome Back! This week we hear from Kelly Thomas, award winning writer and editor and founder of Kelly Grace, LLC where she helps entrepreneurs and creatives to amplify their voice to create content that not only connects with your intended audience, but converts as well. Today she’s building on her thriving business for writers who want greater connection, motivation, and accountability.
I’ve had a passion for writing for a long time, and loved connecting with Kelly on this subject. She offers a ton of value on writing, imparting knowledge to others, on self-value and life- it’s another value-packed episode guys, and I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to record it.
If you have an interest in writing, or in creating in general, this episode is for you. Knowing your voice, the message that you want to share with the world, is important when creating something. When you know your voice, authenticity will resonate in your message with much more ease than if you aren’t clear on what you want to say.
I love writing, but I won’t claim to be especially good at it. Often times I’m working to simply get the words in my head down onto paper (digital or otherwise). There are times though, when I’m feeling incredibly fuzzy on what to put down, where I’ll come back to it and scrap the entire piece, because it felt like I was trying to convey an idea that I didn’t really believe in. I’d need to go back and assess my intention with the subject, and make sure that I’m writing from there, rather than what I think people would want to read.
The end result might not be very popular, or very well written. But I’d be able to stand by the content regardless. More often than not, there are others who would stand by it as well.
