Two people on a slope. They each need to move a rock off a cliff one mile down. The stones are shaped like squares, and they both have access to the same tools. The first person begins pushing his rock. Due to its weight, the stone barely budged, but he continued to try his hardest. After a week, he’s half way to the cliff and says “Hah! I’m already halfway down, and you’ve gone nowhere!”
The second person, knowing how to use the tools; a chisel and hammer, used that same weeks’ time to round his rock into a sphere. On the last day, he pushed his rock down the cliff. It rolled all the way down, and off the cliff.
They both started out with a square rock and the same tools. They both worked hard with lots of sweat and tears. One simply worked smarter.
