TPM 002 : Alex Morris, How to Turn Your Dreams Into Reality
Today’s episode features Alex Morris, founder of LFSOandCompany LLC. Guys, this episode is packed with value bombs and inspiration. Alex is living an inspired life, and is a great example for how a shift in mindset can create a real shift in your life. But he didn’t start out that way. He’s a guy who’s willing to go all in, fall on his face, and go all in again. He talks about how he dropped out of school to become an entrepreneur. He shares why achieving massive success early on can be very risky, and why having his worst entrepreneurial moment shortly after his massive success taught him his most important lessons.
He talks about what life lessons he learns from training to be a UFC fighter. He gets really deep and really personal, and shares how he went from one of his weakest moments into creating this powerful mindset that set him free to go all in for his dreams every day.
There were a couple of technical hiccups that caused the audio to cut out, so I apologize for that. BUT that being said, he drops a ton of value bombs.
[4:10] Massive success and falling on your face
[7:50] What it takes to succeed
[8:50] “Our brains are not built to thrive, they’re built to survive”
[16:00] Know your ONE thing that is most important to you. Otherwise you’ll be easily distracted
[21:00] Why too many of us put our happiness in ‘the future’
[30:30] Uncovering the one thing that almost everyone has, that is the key to being the happiest version of yourself. He uses the boiled frog analogy, where a frog that is slowly boiled, doesn’t know that it’s in pain, and gets cooked. Living without uncovering what it is that truly sets your soul on fire, is like being that frog.
I love how he talks about ‘failures’. We all go through failures in one form or another in our life. It’s okay to feel bad about them. No one is invincible, and it’s not healthy to just suppress your emotions. But we can change how we view these failures. They often cause an amount of introspection that lets us discover, or rediscover who we really are. Afterward you can take steps forward and be authentically you. Because that’s the only real way to live you know?
