TPM 028 : Making the Most of Now, so You can Have All of Tomorrow with Wesley Fisher
This week we have my chat with educator and entrepreneur Wesley Fisher! He’s a guy who wears a lot of hats, and does a lot of interesting things. One direction that I love where this conversation went was our discussion of special Ed.
His talk dispels a lot of myths and misconceptions that surround that topic. People tend to immediately think of ‘low’ functioning when they hear the term special Ed. Most of us don’t realize the whole spectrum, and it’s not because of any ill-will, but there is a lack of education on the subject. I’m glad I got to have the conversation because he did shed a lot of light on the topic for me personally, and it was pretty cool to hear his perspective.
His story speaks that no matter your circumstance, if you work hard for what you want, you can accomplish it. There’s no limit to what you can do if you just put your mind to it.
We go into his start with online teaching in the VIP Kids program, and how he’s helping kids across the world with his teaching experience. It has proven to be an opportunity to use his experience to impact the world on a global scale, and that’s pretty cool. Not only that, but after the interview he provides some information for how anyone interested in teaching online can begin to do that as well. Check at the bottom of this post for his contact info and his referral link to jump on that opportunity.
You must realize that this life is it, you don’t have yesterday. The time that you have is what you’ve got. You have an entire life to live passionately and inspired.
What are you doing with your free time? Not to say that things like Netflix are bad, I definitely enjoy the occasional Netflix binge, but what are you focused on? What are you doing now, to make future-you happier or to have a better life?
Why do you do what you do? Know your why. Wesley said that if your why, doesn’t make you cry, then it isn’t big enough. Make a commitment to truly live your life. Our time is too precious to simply float through unguided.
