I don’t always drink coffee. But when I do, I like to know where it comes from. My favorite coffee shop in town doesn’t blend any of their coffees. They’re pretty big on sustainability and responsible sourcing, and keeping their customers informed on the process. Not everyone would care, but I do. It’s nice to know that the entire production chain of those coffee beans, from the farmer, to the roaster, to the customer is sustainable. Theirs was the first coffee that I was really able to appreciate drinking black. It didn’t need any milk, sugar or other sweeteners to drown out the coffee. It became an experience more akin to drinking wine, only in the morning, and giving my morning a nice touch of flavorful aromatic coffee goodness.
