TPM 006 : Transform Your Mindset and Life With Greg Vaughn
This week I had a chat with Greg Vaughn. He’s managed three gyms, host of the PT Fitness Podcast, and writer for Idea: Health and Wellness. He’s got a passion for using his experience and expertise to help others in any way that he can. And so, when I was talking with him I was able to feel that. While he’s in the business of transforming the health of people he works with, what he does is change how they feel about themselves. It’s as much about developing a strong mindset as it is developing a strong body.
When going to a gym, he says that what people typically really want is to feel better about themselves. What I found interesting is how his approach to fitness is so comprehensive. We talk about communication, relationships, drive, value adding- and he’s able to address all of those things throughout the process of working with his clients.
He says that mindset is crucial in virtually everything that we do. In many entrepreneurial journeys that I’ve heard of, there’s always at least one time where we question what we do if we’re making the right choices. He gets very personal in his experience and shares how to overcome that self-doubt, get into an empowered state, and move forward.
One thing he said that stuck out to me was this: failure does not exist, there are only actions and reactions. We are in control of our lives. Knowing that we cannot fail, what will you do?
