Live a Powerful Life
Don’t be a victim of circumstances.
Do be powerful, despite circumstances.
Don’t say “I can’t because…”
Do say “I will because…”
Don’t dwell what you don’t have.
Do enjoy what you do have.
Many people I’ve spoken to recently have talked about the injustices of society. They point out the failings of humanity, how it affects various demographics negatively both in economic and social terms. Because of this, society must change so that those victimized can rise up.
They do have a point. The world isn’t perfect. It isn’t fair, and people should be kind to others, and help when capable.
In the meantime, though, don’t let inequality, perceived or otherwise keep you from the life that you want to live. No matter the circumstance, you can accomplish what you want.
You will not accomplish it the way that others have. You may have people that you look up to who’ve got the life that you want to live. Whether it’s a musician, actor, politician, blogger or what have you. You can look to them for an example of where you want to be, but in the end, they had their own path to get where they are. You will have yours.
I liken it to a hero’s journey. Too often we sit on the sidelines of our life, watching people around us accomplish their dreams, all the while imagining what it would be like if we did the same.
Don’t sit on the sidelines. Become the main character in your life. Make bold decisions. If you consistently live in this way, circumstances will bend to your decisions, not the other way around.
Dare to live a powerful life.
